| BIOGRAPHY |
|
LISA DAHL is a mixed-media artist who works in painting, photography, installation and video. Born in Minneapolis, Dahl has lived in half a dozen different States, and currently lives and works in New York City. She received her BA from Bowdoin College, and MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
Her work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, art fairs and video festivals both nationally and internationally. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at Coleman Burke Gallery (Portland, ME) and the Hunterdon Art Museum (Clinton, NJ); and two-person or group shows at Kenise Barnes Fine Art (Larchmont, NY), Blank Space (NYC), and the Jersey City Museum (NJ).
Awards include a residency at The MacDowell Colony, participation in the Artist in the Marketplace program at the Bronx Museum, a Project Space studio at PS122, and inclusion in the publication New American Paintings. Her work has received print and online reviews in The New York Times, The Star-Ledger, New York Magazine, Artinfo, and Metro, among others.
